Orders placed through the CLG Skip Hire website are subject to these terms and conditions.
We encourage you to read these terms and conditions carefully. Understanding our contractual relationship regarding your use of the website is important for both of us. Before you can make a purchase on our website, you must confirm that you have read these terms and conditions. We will not allow you to make a purchase if you have not confirmed that you have read these terms.
When using the website, you agree that the details you provide to us are accurate, in particular, that the credit or debit card you are using is your own and there are sufficient funds to cover the purchase price.
It is your responsibility to notify CLG Skip Hire of any changes to the details provided to us by you using our web form or by contacting Customer Services as soon as possible.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ORDER
If you enter the correct email address, your order will be acknowledged via email. The order will be accepted once payment has cleared.
THE PAYMENT
Your order will be debited when we receive payment using any of the methods indicated on our website.
If you order goods from our website, you will pay the current price at the time of placing your order. Our website displays all prices inclusive of VAT, where applicable, at 20.0%. We reserve the right to change prices if VAT rates change. Standard delivery is included. We make every effort to ensure that prices are shown correctly, but sometimes an error may occur.
We will strive to rectify any errors or oversights as soon as we are notified. Technology can be unreliable, however, and on occasion, this may result in an incorrect price, product or other detail appearing on the website. Should this occur we reserve the right to cancel the contract without liability, but will give you the opportunity to purchase the goods at the correct price.
DELIVERY
Skips will be delivered by CLG Skip Hire’s own vehicles. You or the person to whom the order is addressed will be required to sign for delivery. A signature at the delivery address will prove that the order has been received. Once payment has cleared, orders will be processed.
CANCELLATION
It is your right to cancel your order if you are unhappy with it for any reason.
Please notify us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel before the skip is delivered, either by e-mail (clgskiphire@gmail.com) or by using our web form in the contact us section.
The skip must be returned to us if it has been delivered. Under the United Kingdom’s Distance Selling Regulations, you still have the right to cancel your order and receive a full refund if you wish. We will be able to collect the skip for you for £75.00 plus VAT. You may cancel your order in writing by quoting your order number, and you can email us at: clgskiphire@gmail.com or via our contact page.
The skip should be returned to CLG Skip Hire in its original condition once you have cancelled your order.
GENERAL
Mini, midi, and builders are generic terms. You can find exact size specifications on our website.
Before delivery, customers must declare accurately where their skip is to be placed. If a skip is required on the highway, CLG Skip Hire will obtain a permit from the relevant council and charge the customer accordingly. If a skip is exchanged, it must return in exactly the same spot on the highway. In some areas, skips cannot be placed on the pavement or grass verges. Permits must be renewed in accordance with the council’s policies.
The container must be paid upon delivery or exchange unless prior arrangements have been made with CLG Skip Hire. If a container was paid for by cheque, CLG Skip Hire will wait until the cheque has cleared before collecting it. Once a container has been rang in for collection, up to 4 days is allowed for that container to be collected.
In order to ensure the safe loading of materials into containers, the customer must ensure that the containers are level loaded and do not contain asbestos, fridges, food waste, tyres, batteries, or hazardous materials. Customers should contact CLG Skip Hire if they have any questions. Once the container has been delivered, it cannot be moved by the customer.
When customers direct their vehicles off the highway, CLG Skip Hire is indemnified for any damage or costs incurred as a result of damage to the vehicle or third parties. This indemnity applies to the delivery, exchange or collection of containers. Soft ground, grass or any other unsuitable surface will not be crossed by vehicles.
The skip you ordered may be faulty or not be the skip you originally ordered, so contact us via our contact form or email our Customer Service department – mentioning your order number, your name and address, the skip and the reason for return, as well as whether you need a refund or replacement. Once the return has been processed, we will advise you on how to proceed.
INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to fully indemnify, defend and hold us, and our officers, directors, employees, agents and suppliers, harmless immediately on demand, against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from any violation of these terms by you or any other liability arising from your use of this Website, or the use by any other person accessing the Website using your shopping account and/or your personal information.
Any offer or agreement for the purchase and sale of goods from our website shall be in English and construed and governed by English law, with English courts having jurisdiction.
STATUTORY RIGHTS ARE NOT AFFECTED BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
REGULATIONS FOR DISTANCE SELLING
Under the United Kingdom’s Distance Selling Regulations, customers have the right to cancel their orders with us and receive a full refund. This must be done in writing citing your order number within seven days of delivery. You can either email or post this information to the address listed above. It is then your responsibility to send back the goods to the same address in their original condition within ten days of receipt.
